The Montreal Impact leapfrogged the New England Revolution in the Eastern Conference with a win at the Stade Saputo on Wednesday. Patrice Bernier and Sanna Nyassi scored for the Impact to put them past a Revolution team that momentarily drew via Lee Nguyen.

Bernier fired the opening salvo at the 28th minute, putting a shot past Matt Reis to give Jesse Marsch's men the initial lead.

Sixteen minutes later, former PSV Eindhoven midfielder Nguyen made it 1-1 for the Revolution to go level into the break, as he scored his fourth goal of the season.

In the second half, it would be Nyassi after various failed approaches by the Impact signaled oncoming danger for the visiting squad. The midfielder scored the go-ahead goal to increase his personal tally to three on the 2012 season and give the Impact a lead they would never relinquish.

With the win, Montreal pushed forward to 24 points and left New England behind with 22, as both teams sit sixth and seventh respectively in the Eastern Conference.
